Real values

What do we value more in people - intellect? Ingenuity? Musical critique said yesterday something like "... he was musical genius, warm and generous person, but was he smart? was he an intellectual? He wasn't ...."

Somehow I can't remember the opposite comparison, case when a technical genius was accused in not being sensitive enough.

Does this mean a society values thinking people more than sensing? Is this reasonable?

Shopping for appliances

Spent the whole evening looking at various on-line shops sites. I think I already hate frigiders and stoves, I even dream about those!
