Something about self promotion
Jun. 13th, 2006 10:44 amYesterday I posted this Red Panda to my flickr stream.
And added it to several related pools (Animals, All Animals, My Jerusalem (it leaves there!), animal Planet and Endangered Spices, well Female Photographers too). By the end of the day it scored 14 hits and 1 favorite. Not bad thought I.
Then this morning I decided to join "Hit, Miss or Maybe" and guess what happened - in just 10 minutes it got another 14 hits. Yeahh...
And right now it has 31 hits. I think I'll wait and see if it gets 50 all alone now before posting it to "1-2-3"-like places.
Update 13-06-2006 20:14.
1 favorite (from yesterday though).
5 Hits from "Hit, Miss or Maybe", then 7/10, 6/10, 6/10, 5/10, 7/10 from "Score Me!".
Well, looks like all you need to get 50+ hits fast is to post it to a couple of groups like "Score Me!" and "Hit, Miss or Maybe". That simple. And if the first one is more or less usefull as people do tend to write their impression the second one is total garbage. I'm not interested in getting comments and "scores" from the people that take this kind of pictures.
I guess the experiment is over and I'll rather look for the groups where Rainer and my other contacts post :).
