Letter from Zenon to Krotos

(17th September, 253 B.C.)

Zenon orders Krotos to obtain twenty five minae of wool from Pasis the Jew and to contract with Artemidoros for the making of a mattress, which was to be at least long enough for a seat for two and to have a double front. The mattress was required for Peisikles, and Krotos was to try to have it finished in fifteen days.
